Red Ded Redemption + Bioshock + Fall Out = RAGE

If you threw in a cup Red Dead Redemption, a dash of Bioshock, and a heap load of Fall Out into a blender and pressed "puree", the resulting goo would be RAGE.

The Ugly: Much like the well endowed blonde at your local bar, RAGE is a stunning game that is highly amusing for awhile, but the lack of overall depth causes you to quickly loose interest and move on to better things.

The Bad: If you're looking for an openworld game like Fall Out or Skyrim, look elsewhere. RAGE follows in Final Fantasy 13's ill placed footsteps by playing out as a "long, but pretty hallway". There is little in the way of sidequests--few that there are will have you playing fetch--and the main story arc is short lived and terribly understated. Answers to questions about the plot are sporadically thrown at you, and the "main bad guy" never evern makes it to the screen. The bulk of your gameplay will either be spent in the race circuit, earning certificates to bulk up your ride (which has a disappointingly small amount of options in the way of customization) or crusing the wasteland to your next mission.

The Good: While not having a terribly diverse group of bad guys, you're hard pressed to grow bored of slaughtering them. With explosive RC cars, killer boomerangs (wingsticks), and adorable freaking spider drones--to name a few-- there's always a new and clever way to desimate your enemy.
While the game is short-lived the graphics are stunning. The attention to detail in each town and environment is worthy of praise, and you never feel as though the "copy and paste" button was abused in the creation of RAGE.

Overall: If you want a game that's trigger happy and not storyline heavy then by all means, pick up a copy of RAGE. If you can grab a used copy at a decent price or borrow a friends, I would say , because this flawed gem deserves some acknowledgement. Just dont pay full price for a new copy like I did.

Fun at first, building up a great climax to a largely disappointing END.

Rage Starts out as an entertaining game, with a mysterious storyline, "who are they?!". Good Graphics and game play are pretty much the only thing keeping this game together. The most disappointing thing with this game was the story line. You never face your enemy, never hear their side of the story, never finding out who "they" are. And your not given many choices. No doubt the ending will make you say "That's it?". At the end though, it was still entertaining, and a replay on Nightmare mode made it challenging, on normal I think I died only once or twice, in nightmare mode you depend on your defibrillator. I'd say the CO-OP is the best for replay value. All in all, I'd say it's worth buying for cheap, the DLC sewer missions are weak sauce, the ANARCHY pack adds a vehicle, but it's nothing too special, the double barrel shotgun though is worth it.Read full review...

If you loved DOOM and Quake, than you are sure to love this game as well!

Most of these reviews on here really don't know what a good game is. RAGE doesn't have any relevance to Fallout, that game sucked. Red Dead Redemption doesn't have any relevance to this game either, so the review saying that these two games combined makes up the basis of RAGE is very inaccurate.

The graphics are great, the gameplay is easy, the storyline is not that short, but short enough to not lose players or confuse players.

There are plenty of weapons at your disposal, plus the ammo for these weapons can be upgraded. You can engineer your own weapons like a turret gun and RC car bombs.

The ability to have not only a first person shooter, but also incorporating vehicles to race as well as weapon attachments for these vehicles gives a player the best of both worlds. Destruction and survival are the basis of this game.

There are plenty of enemies all with different abilities, weapons and armor. The difference in the enemies abilities keeps the player more involved in the game and the storyline doesn't get boring.

I haven't played the multiplayer co-op or online yet, but I'm sure it's just as good as the campaign mode.

This is definitely a must have for the 360 and based on the prices that it is going for on Ebay, you are not wasting your money but making a good investment!

It's a game without a soul, rushed and left undone.

No where near as good as Fallout or Borderlands. It's like a game without a soul. It has the feeling of a game rushed and left undone. It's a great concept and had potential, but fell way short and flat with very few side quests and really just one way to go. The graphics felt undone too, just don't get too close to things on the side and keep following the main story and this should keep you interested for a few weeks, but it won't leave you with anything. I really like ID, but I wish they had put at least 3 times as much into story. The ending was sort of monotonous and lacking. The car racing was interesting, but again, just not enough variety, not a big enough sandbox. If you like to explore on your own, this is not the game for you. Why did they need 3 disks for this game anyway? Frankly, I think anyone giving this 5 stars is paid to promote the game or a bit naive. Unfortunately, this game is very forgettable. Now what was I talking about?Read full review...

great fun! get this. its worth the price

WOW! What an outrageous game! I was a bit skeptical but I went on the reviews and purchased it. I don't retreat and I don't regret it. The graphics are fantastic. The characters are very different and fun. I was very impressed with the cities and surroundings. There are lots of charactors to meet. There are lots of jobs to do and fun to do them. You will have a great time with this and will want to play it again. Its open world but one thing there isn't a map to get you arround. But who cares! Its q challenge. Get this you wont be sorry.Read full review...

This focuses on racing.

This is a good little game if you like car racing. I had read reviews that said it was like the Fallout games and that was the main reason that I bought it. Believe me, it is nothing like the Fallout games, although I did find a vaultec bobblehead. It has very little opportunity to explore, you go where the game tells you to go and it revolves around racing. I found the cars very hard to control, just the tiniest movement and I was slamming into things but my 13 year old niece had no problem driving the car. Go figure. I give it 3/5 stars for graphics.Read full review...

Very good, amazing, worth every penny paid.

It is an excellent well reviewed by critics of games is in online games like that, worth every penny paid. Guaranteed fun for those who enjoy a good FPS. Great fun. The mechanics are great and opponents are good at, where you can see that the AI is advancing. The creators kept the same creativity of DOOM. I did not find negative points it certainly would buy again.Read full review...

$7 brand new! Excellent game!

It's a fun game to me. I like running around doing missions and checking out the environment. I'm enjoying the gameplay and the cool weapons.
