Very fast. Comparable to a modern day intel laptop CPU. Specal rpi USB-C charger required to run without throttling.

Purchased a pi5. Significantly faster than the older pi's. Is able to run modern desktops with bells and whistles enabled. Plays videos up to 4k without any slowdowns.
Does not come with a power supply. You MUST use a raspberry pi 5 power supply only. No other USB-C supply has the 5V5A mode required to run the pi5 with everything enabled. If you run it on lower power modes it turns off GPIO and other features and throttles CPU.
No other supplies available for USB-C has the required 5V5A mode, not even the most powerful ones.
It has the form factor of a pi3 but the HMDI and USB power ports of a pi4.
Old pi hats work on it.Read full review
