I was looking for a way to check the weight of my truck and trailer without having to go to the CAT scales which are not convenient to where we live. This scale is small enough to keep in the truck and seems to agree with commercial road scales to within 100 pounds (for an 8000 pound truck).
Dislikes are that it only reads out in Kg and is not available from US distributers. The place in Australia I bought it from (everything caravans) was very good and I received it within 10 days of my oder. Shipping was $35 which was reasonable considering. If this thing breaks, I'm stuck with it because I don't see any US based support. But other than that it's exactly what I expected. Read full review...

Purchased to check my towing weights, weighed the van first, it weighed slightly lighter than I expected, however my tow vehicle matched the manufacturers specifications almost perfectly. The scales seem very accurate so I’m very pleased with the purchase.
Driving over the scales requires you to drive slowly, too fast or too slow gives inaccurate weights and it must be done on a level concrete surface. Reich caravan weight scales
Purchased scales with fingers crossed given the cost and some reviews. Followed all instructions on use. Used boards on either side of scales and weighed my 100 Series, then went to public scales only 5k away so only 5kg weight difference in vehicle. Public scales were 23kg less than Reich. Great Device! It Really Works!
I have not weighed my travel trailer yet, but I did weigh my tow vehicle (an F150 Ecoboost). I was very pleased with the accuracy of the device as compared to the local CAT scales. The total weight was within 85 lbs, a difference of only 1.4%. I can hardly wait to get my trailer out of storage to weigh it.
The side-to-side weight was exactly what I expected with 52.6% of the weight on the driver side (which holds the 37 gallons gas tank for extended towing). No more guessing! The side-to-side weight of the trailer is one of the critical data points I want to have from the Reich Weight Controller to fine tune the towing characteristics of my trailer.
The device was shipped promptly from everythingcaravans in Australia and received (in the US) two weeks earlier than projected. They gave me several updates by email.

Disappointed
Disappointed with the construction of this unit, specifically the battery compartment. The unit uses 3 AAA batteries however the connections for the battery positive connection is recessed too far in the unit so the battery’s +ve nipple doesn’t make contact. I had to use aluminium foil between the unit & batteries. For the price I would have expected better. I used Duracell batteries. Otherwise it seems to be a good unit.Read full review...
