Great value for money

Quite a good film. He's back on form!

At long last Steven Seagal gets back to basics. After several extremely poor ‘straight-to-DVD’ offerings, we finally get a decent film.

The plotline? Quite simply, his son (a copper) gets killed and the police put it down to a random drive-by shooting by one of the many street gangs. However, daddy is not happy and sets out to do one thing – find the person that killed his son and kill him. That’s it. No more, no less.

So what follows is really an excuse to see loads of bad guys getting shot, beaten up, etc.

You have some quite close camera shots in a lot of the fight scenes because Steven Seagal is obviously not as fast as he used to be. However, gone are the stand-ins and quite obvious wire-work. Instead he’s back to doing his aikido; twisting limbs, breaking necks and so on. You know – the scenes where you re-wind to watch again and again!

Yes, he does mumble his lines throughout the film, but then what’s new? And he is still overweight, resorting to wearing his trademark ¾ length jacket in a poor attempt to hide his expanding waistline. But who cares?

If I had to find fault with this film, it’s the stereotypical portrayal of street gangs and drug dealers, and the excessive use of swearing – believe me, there is a lot of it!

I would put this on par with Exit Wounds. Buy or rent? I bought it and have no regrets (other than maybe I should have opted for the uncensored region 1).Read full review...

i bought dvd due to the fact that i like Seagals films, was loads of action per usual. but unfortunatly to much swearing. more than need be. my mam loves his films more than i do but due to that fact she did not watch the full film.Read full review...

It is a great film and i think Steven Seagal is a great actor i have a lot of his films.I got this product because i love Steven Seagal I like the look of the cover and what I read about it I have now dislikes about this product.It does not compare to any other product in this range that i have got in the past.Read full review...

Renegade justice

this film is pretty good if u like the classic action revenge ramapage film.its contains a lot of gore and action kick butt performaces(aikido) from steven seagull . it has action throughout the film however from the start you figure out wats happned and it puts the rating down i think because theres no twist its just straightforward action.the video making is very basic if u no what i mean (amture)no reall speacial effects.if yr a steven seagull film liker id recommend this myself ,but even if you anit it is still a gd film to watch.Read full review...

i am a steven seagal fan, and this quality film keeps my collection up to date.
i like films where you see alot of fighting action, and you get that with seagal as he is a real fighter, not just an actor like many, as is jet lee which is rare these days. i decided to buy the film as i am a fan and buy all films of his that come out.Read full review...

this is typical steven seagal.he may not be the greatest of actors,but as an action star he's one of the best,the film keeps ticking along and does not get boreing as the film is well paced.i have some of his other movies so i bought it to add to the collection.Read full review...

i bought this dvd for my brother's birthday it's great thank you, he is a huge Seven Seagal fan he did have it on video, but he is changing everything over to dvd, because obviosly the sound and quality are much better. he is absolutely delighted with this one.Read full review...
