Good biography of part of a hero's life.

I've always longed to know more about Rob Roy as I am a direct descendant. This movie only covers one part of his life but it is well portrayed by Liam Neeson. The poverty of the peasants at the time, the way they were treated by the landed gentry and the disrespect they were given by the English at the time. It makes me proud to be of scottish blood and sad for the way my ancestors were treated. When watching this moivie it is easy to see why there is still much animosity towards the English by the proud Scots. I have read the true biography of Rob Roy and the storyline kept relatively true to the facts of the time with a bit of 'writer's license' in there for effect. A movie worth watching for anyone of Scots heritage or a follower of history. A good story all round.Read full review...
