A Good, Solid Game

I am very surprised by how much I am enjoying this game. I will admit that I was put off by the giant cute faces, but when I started the game up, I realized instantly that this was a well done title. The cuteness is handled with an edge, like Sonic the Hedgehog, and from the intro onward into the gameplay there is a feeling of classic wit and artistry. The game itself plays like other 3D fighting titles, but you are able to switch the viewpoint between three camera settings: first person, near third person, and far third person; much like many racing titles. The game also employs a super move meter, like the later Street Fighter games, and allows you to pull off more powerful attacks when it is charged. You are also able to pick up objects lying around on the stage and hurl them at your opponent, which adds to the fun and helps you to win the fight. The developers of Robo Pit weren't just trying to make a quick buck. This a polished game to say the least.Read full review...
