Fits well on top of the camera. So far, sensitivity is so good it has to be turned down 10 db. Picks up sound without noise from the camera zoom. Great mic!

Disappointing incurable audio hiss. Pics up silence and converts it to noise.

Constant hiss in the audio no matter what I do. I watched videos, read articles, and contacted support. I elected to return the mic because no matter what I did the hiss persisted.

It pics up noise it shouldn't I just want to hear my voice and then silence. My voice sounds decent but there's always a constant hiss underneath.

Rode VideomicPro+ the best on camera mic I have used

The primary use I have for the Rode VideomicPro+ is in conjunction with filming with the Panasonic GH4 and Atomos Ninja Flame in an Axler Cage rig and on a Moza Aircross gimbal rig. I record 4K or 1080-60p 4:2:2 Avid DNxHD 10 bit in the Ninja Flame along with audio from the camera via HDMI as a secondary stereo audio. Then I feed dual channel mono from the Rode VideomicPor+ directly into the Ninja Flame, with 1 channel boosted and the other channel a safety. Works really well. The Videomic has great sound quality and the dead cat works very well as does the cable. It's a very low cost solution for location sound and interviews.
