I loved being at the concert, but only like the DVD.

I loved being at the concert in Nashville, but only like the DVD. I am not in the DVD editing business but believe that I could make dozens of improvements in the camera shot content, selection, and duration. I am not a musician but know that I want to see Alex or Geddy at least in a semi close-up on an edgy riff or solo part and not miss seeing them hit their first note. And there were many shots of them framed down to just above their right hand. What is the deal with that framing technique on a guitarist??? Also show them picking, plucking, or strumming please. I checked each of the available picture format selections and none of them resolved this issue.
They did a better job overall with Neil and missed around a dozen opportunities that I would have done differently. I loved that they caught Neil's facial expressions while jamming with Geddy near the end of Freewill. What can I say other than...priceless. He is beast.
I like to listen loud, you know kind of like being at the concert, and found that I am preferring to lower the volume at the beginning and end of each song due to the excessive crowd noise (no I don't live in an apartment or condo so it is not me you're hearing). The entertaining video sequel to I Love You, Man shown at the end of the Nashville show was not included. I suppose there is a good reason for that.
Even with all of this criticism you probably will want to buy this DVD if you attended the concert. This was my teenage son’s first concert and the DVD was a Christmas present for him that had to be opened early. A great show by great showmen even with Geddy's oops moment.Read full review...

This is an awesome DVD, but then of course, RUSH is awesome!

I bought this item as a birthday gift for my husband, but being that I love these guys too, it was kind of a present for myself as well. This is an awesome DVD, but then of course, RUSH is awesome! Great DVD though. Love the funny scenes they did between songs. Not aware of anything about it that I did not like. There is no comparison when it comes to RUSH. They always put out good DVDs of their live stuff. I would recommend this product to anyone who enjoys good music.Read full review...

One of the best live concert DVD's I've ever seen. As you watch and listen, you'll realize that your jaw is on the floor and you'll be asking yourself, "Three guys, REALLY?" The quality of recording both audio and visual is astounding. Why isn't Rush in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? I mean seriously. Their newest music is even better than their old familiar classics, and yet they still seem to be having lots of fun on stage without posing or taking themselves too seriously. Buy this DVD! Rush Time machine DVD

Great dvd! Rush are at the top of there game in this live performace from Cleveland,Ohio. Its a very long show with jamming,hits,some deep tracks and of course the entire Moving Pictures album. Which still sounds fresh and relevant in 2010 as it did in 1980.Read full review...
