Brilliant narrative

I have read this book many times over the Christmas holidays. I love the old way of writing and the old fashioned words ( food called fare for example) Slocum was a fascinating writer , you almost feel you are on the most exciting sailing adventure along with Slocum and his Sea Spray. The Moor pirates that almost capture him and the de masting. Slocum uses many nautical terms as he was a very experienced sea captain before undertaking his adventure . The book is illustrated with sketches of his adventures .
