Need a good wiimote but will still dance
This game is pretty decent if you can get the controls working properly. My wiimote is kind of weird so I can't accurate swing it right, but if you can, then more power to you. The music is fantastic though; exclusively covers with some originals made for samba.Read full review...

fun, considering the cost
Since this game can be had for just a few bucks these days and you don't really need actual maracas, its pretty fun with some good latin music.
I wish they would give more than Yes/no choices. Really the graphics aren't that good, but I don't want to just say "no". They are typical for a Wii game.Read full review...
One of the best rhythm games I've ever played!
When I heard a new Samba De Amigo game was coming out, I was interested in trying out the original game on the Wii. I found a copy for only $5, and it was well worth it. This game is so much fun, and I love the variety of music it features! It does take some time to get used to, and being that it's on an older console there is a little bit of input delay when played on a modern HD TV. But other than that, it's a solid rhythm game, and a true SEGA classic!Read full review...

Shake and Dance to the spicy beat
Choose from some spicy music and shake your maracas. It uses the nunchuk and the controller--unlike other music games. You have three positions to hold the maracas--shoulder, chest and waist level. You have two hands and a total of 6 positions. Play in Hustle mode and it has you dancing and striking a pose. The other games in the game are striking a pinata and a few other lame ones. But the main game is out of the ordinary,

Samba de Amigo
Even setting the price aside, this is a great game. But when you factor in that it's only $20, it is the best game (valuewise) we own. The premise is simple -- shake your remotes in the directions indicated by the flowing balls. Strike a pose when it tells you to or in hustle mode, wave your arms in a dancelike motion. It's a rhythm game. The music selection is the best! A lot of fun, familiar, upbeat music. On easy it really is easy -- but fun. It gets more challenging on medium and hard.
One quirk: It took us some time to figure out how to get our sideways motions to register properly. The game registers the angle of your remotes. Up and down are pretty easy, but for sideways may take a little more practice to get right on the horizontal.Read full review...
Fun for all ages and especially for people like upbeat tropical music!
Absolutely LOVE this game!!! I've always loved the sound of tropical music from Caribbean to Salsa, so this game was a perfect fit for the salsa dancing maniac that I am. There's also a mix of other upbeat popular songs infused into the Latin choices to shake your body to. The tutorial was easy, almost didn't need it, and the practice sessions alone got me soooo hooked, that I played the first day for 2.5 hours straight until my forearm actually got sore! It actually made me perspire some, so could even be considered an upper body cardio work out, if you actually move around while shaking the maracas....and your booty =DRead full review...
Perfect for the Whole Family
I purchased for my 6 year old nephew. He has played this game more than the Super Mario Bros and the Sports games that come with the Wii. This game is super fun not just for kids but the entire family. He loves the music, which he can change (many song choices) He picks the song, then the game plays to the sound of that particular song. It's a simple game yet challenging. You have to be somewhat coordinated to play this game :-)Read full review...
Got as a family X-mas gift
When I bought this as our 2009 Family X-mas gift I had no idea what kind of reaction I would get from my family. After turning it on the first song gave an instant smile to my wife (From the Gypsy Kings). My 13 year old picked it up real quick, with my 9 year old picking it up a little slower. My 3 year old played it but basically just shook the maracas. The song's are up beat and it made our X-mas day go bye quick. I would recommend this item!Read full review...

Good... But could of been Much Better!
Samba de Amigo for the Wii is a good game but it does have its numerous flaws. When you try to play on harder levels the game doesnt keep up with your motions. If you play on easy or normal you'll be just fine. It's a great game for kids and i do recommend it to others who are thinking about buying it. For only $20, you can't go wrong...Read full review...
