Just wish it had real buttons

Although it's a bit larger than other SanDisk products, the Sansa Fuze+ has a good sleek look to it. Because of the size, the screen info is much easier to read. Sound quality is on par with other Sansa products (I've had the e260, the Clip+, and the Clip Zip). I wish it had actual buttons to switch between songs and to pause the playback; I haven't found a happy medium yet for the sensitivity of the touchpad. I also wish it had a clip, but I'm getting accessories to take care of that.Read full review...

New Sansa Fuze, a step back.

To be clear before I get started, this was my third Sansa MP3 player and I prefer them over any other brand. However the controls of this newer Sansa are a definite deprovement from my old player. The old rotary wheel allowed what I call "no look" operation. With this unit I could pretty much do everything in complete darkness, strapped to my upper arm or in my pocket. The new design eliminates that "no look" capability.

I don't know what the Sansa designers were going for with this new design but in my view they missed the mark. My plan is to sell the new unit taking a loss and go shopping for another player with a more tactile feel. Sorry Sansa.

Good player, bad micro sd card feature

This is an good mp3 player, and is one of the better non-ipod ones. The sound quality is decent, and storage can be upgraded to up to a 32 gig micro sd card. Meaning that 4 gig player can be a 36 gig player.
However, the sd card feature is where the problem lies. If you use a large sd card, the mp3 player takes an eternity to load up, and song selection becomes impossible. The tab for song selection is two over from the start, and the player doesn't respond well enough to get it to load that tab in time for song selection. It frequently acts like you didn't press anything, and resumes playing what was last played. It works great off system memory, but not so much on a large micro sd card. Maybe if you expand it with a 4-8 gig one, it'd be ok, but not a 32.

great battery life; small learning curve, very versatiile

Bought this product as I had a Sansa clip; great upgrade! Controls are hard to get used to, and submenus for music are like an impossible maze (3 weeks of ownership). Battery life is insanely amazing. Also, there was a firmware glitch that caused voice and fm recording blips, this can be solved by changing firmware (google it). I like the fact that you can add memory to it too. Mainly bought it as a music player, but the fact that it can do video and photos is awesome. I recommend buying a good case for this as it can get scratched easily due to its interfaceRead full review...

WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!!!!

This is definitely worth the buy... I came from using the first generation Sansa Fuze which has been a blast and perfect for those looking for an mp3 player without all the hype. The only thing that takes getting used too is the flat surface buttons used to navigate throughout the mp3 player itself.. Its touch sensitive isn't soooo sensitive which isn't really a downside considering how many touchscreens have the problem of being too sensitive... The only reason why I am mentioning it is because its kind of a step down from the navigation wheel from the first onew in my opinion... Other than that.. If you don't need all the hype that comes with the Ipod.... This is the best thing!!!!!!!!!Read full review...

Rebuildable unit.

Outside of case was clean and unscratched. Was easy to change out the battery with one from my old unit. This one had a newer OS that seems to work better. On the down side it seems to have a digital skip on recorded material. Not sure what the problem is.Read full review...

Decent enough for the price

I bought this device primarily to record FM broadcasts at my place of worship. There is no way to set the incoming volume from the broadcast. Also the recordings are saved internally and not to the SD card. The SD card slot only allows things to be saved to it via a computer and then played on the device. The navigation and physical use of this device leaves much to be desired. I often swipe past the setting I want to get to. It does have decent sound quality for the price.Read full review...

Excellent product and easy to use.

This was exactly what I was looking for. I mostly bought it for the combination of recorded music and the radio option. So far I have mostly used the radio though. It great when taking a walk. I bought this one because a friend of mine has the same model and he liked his also. I checked reviews and this offered what I wanted and easy to use.Read full review...

Good Sound Horrible Functionality

I was thinking this MP3 player would work like an Ipod. It doesn't . . . at all. I bought it as a gift for a sibling to use as a music player. I won't be giving it to him and I am now going to purchase an Ipod after all, at more cost. The all important function of playing music continuously, from song to song, in a "shuffle" does not work. Apparently not even designed to do. I loaded over 300 songs. In order to play any of them you have to painstaking load them one by one into a playlist. This is very tricky due to the touchy controls, and then after you have created a playlist, it doesn't seem to keep them for more than one "outing." Then you have to start over. Most frustrating device I have ever used. Will likely sit in a drawer or be discarded.Read full review...

Overall, it is a good product and will do the job.

Attractive design although a little "bulky". Not having camera or Bluetooth, makes it just a MP4 player like others just bigger.
Not having a clip of some sort to hold it is a minus. The headset that comes with it is ridiculous.
Easy setup and good sound quality. Not tested with video just yet. The FM radio is a plus.
The touch pad is a little annoying, specially if you are working-out and sweating. It not always follows your command.
Overall, it is a good product and will do the job.
