Green, lush, evocative

Although I've never bought a celebrity fragrance before, the reviews of Covet were controversial enough to make me click the 'confirm bid' button and am I glad I did.

Covet is hard to define or categorize but is technically a chypre, with its citrus top notes and woody base. It is redolent of a flower garden on a wet day and evokes images of lavender and geranium bending over under a load of raindrops. Subtle chocolate and vanilla notes keep Covet interesting and the fragrances of various flowers wax and wane throughout its duration, which is impressive. It is a heavy scent, rather high-pitched and its staying power cannot be beat.

After the commercial success of Lovely, Sarah Jessica Parker said that her next fragrance would be edgier, riskier. Covet is certainly edgier and for SJP the risk failed but for us, the consumers, her loss is our gain as Covet is practically being given away.Read full review...

Soft, yet edgy at the same time!

This is my daughter's favorite perfume and I can always find it on ebay for a reasonable price vs. department stores. The smell is edgy, but soft at the same time and fits my daughter's personality to a tee. If you or someone you know is a go-getter in life yet loves their femininity as well, then I would recommend this perfume for that personality type.Read full review...

I have used this perfume for the past two years, and I am always complimented on the fragrance. Not only is the fragrance light, it is lovely!
