Dis-satisfied with quality

Item was defective upon receipt. When I plug in on the left side of my Macbook Pro it doesn't work and I have to wiggle it and press on it to get the light to come on and to work. But as soon as I let go, the light goes out and it doesn't work.
When I turn in around with the light facing away from me it works, but that makes it stick out the backside of my Macbook pro and very unstable when connecting or disconnecting items. When I plug it in on the right side of my Macbook Pro with the light facing me it works fine, but the issue then is that it covers the audio port on the computer, which I need to use as well.

I have another usb-c hub that plugs into a single usb-c port and that one works perfectly fine when plugged into any of the usb-c ports on my Macbook Pro so I know that all the ports are working. This is a brand new 2017 Macbook Pro 15 that is less than a week old.Read full review...

All in all, the hub does its job. The one thing I noticed - it’s getting significantly hot during work
