These hard drives are pulled from failed external enclosure kits and recertification by Seagate. They are extremely alow but provide very cheap storage if you don't need the speed. I use 2 of these in my media server, works great.

Transferring data between 2 of these results in an average transfer speed of about 20-30MB/s.. Pretty weak. Occasionally dipping into single digits depending on what is copying. Read full review

Awesome backup media at a GREAT price!

Backups are usually the individual's last thought, most often AFTER losing data. These make EXCELLENT targets to back up my data and just cycle through them. One backup of all my PCs every month with rotating backup disks is to me the most awesome example of thinking ahead. These disks are EXACTLY what I needed.
