Excellent product - quiet and fast

I bought this Seagate SATA-3 drive to replace a smaller capacity one.Main intention being to store back ups of my GNS3 Cisco configurations as well as other I.T related things. Item arrived well packaged and was as described. Absolutely no issues at all. Works very well and lives up to Seagate's reputation of quiet operation under heavy disk operation. It is a fast drive and runs cooler(I checked using various utilities including Sea Tools) than previous Hitachi. I'd say it is on par with the likes of similar spec drives from HD giant WD but Seagate probably is quieter in general.Read full review...

Barracuda, the best.

CCLComputers are the very best in my opinion. Trustworthy, they keep to their word, and the service they provide is brilliant. The hard drive I purchased from them is well worth the money, its performance is excellent & meets my requirements exactly. If I ever need a replacement hard drive in the future, I'll always settle for a Seagate Barracuda. This particular make of drive has more than proved its worth over the years. absolute trash

very uninpressive, full of faults. first one arrived broken. replacement broke a month later. upon investigation i am not the only one. all of these are absolute trash. and it now will not show up on my drives list and lost alot of information.

Review of the 500GB SATA 3 HDD

I checked the drive thoroughly when it arrived and as stated in the advertisement, there are no faults/ bad sectors so I'm very pleased with this drive.

It's going into a computer which I'm building and donating F.O.C.to a hard-up ex-service family here in Northumberland.

Very good value for money.

I bought this because my hard drive had had a bash, and was corrupted, so I cloned it. So far it's working well, and I am very pleased, as the alternative would have been to buy a new computer.
