Comprehensive range of tap sizes.

At the price these are good value for money and of good quality. They cover a comprehensive range of the smaller tap sizes and grip well on the squares, hence no slipping. I like the friction fit t-bars as they can be slid out of the way when necessary. I feel that the tightening sleeves would be improved by heavier knurling to improve grip but that is my only (small) criticism.Read full review...

OK product, bad design.

These wrenches are fairly well made, the threads needed a bit of a clean with a wire wheel and some grease to make them run a bit smoother.
The really stupid thing is when you want to tighten the chuck, the outside is smooth; the knurled part is too deep to actually be of any use and when you've got oily hands it's impossible. the tap keeps coming loose.
These were obviously designed by someone whose never used one.

Handles for small tap wrenches.

I thought of making these but you couldn’t buy the steel for the ready-made price. It looks like they will work with about M3 to M12 taps which is all I normally use. They have a hole in the spindle where you can engage a spring loaded tap follower when tapping in the lathe or drill press. The knurled sections are inset in the barrel which probably is not the best idea grip-wise but if you have a glove on it works fine. All in all a great buy.Read full review...

Tap wrench wear point

These tap wrenches are well made and do the job, but I am surprised Sealey make them with an obvious sharp edge wear point where the outer screw sleeve compresses the collet. Still, I'm sure they will out-live me.Read full review...

The tools for the job

Great quality, good range of sizes for hand tapping, especially in restricted spaces. Short handles makes life easier and as they move freely through the post, extra purchase can be gained when necessary. All round these are a great addition to any toolbox. I'm very fussy where tools are concerned and have no reservations in recommending them whatsoever. Buy a set and you will be very pleased.Read full review...

Well sized, well featured

Good gradation of sizes. Each has a short hole down the axis at the handle-end, so you can apply central pressure (as in a drill press) to get good alignment. Handles held captive (can't fall out) via a grub-screw and spring in that axial hole.Read full review...

Good for the price

The ad should specify their exact tap sizes - I managed to check this on the Sealey website prior to purchase. Handles were smaller than expected but ok for the job.

tap wrench set

The set was as good as I'd hoped for and fulfills my expectations. For the very economic price the quality was good and the tool performs all that I want.
