This is item is worth your money.
This item is the best thing for $30. It has 36 Sega Genesis games, 3 Mortal Kombat games, and 41 "arcade games", or hombrewed games. The Sega Genesis games included are really fun, and it has really made me like the Sega Genesis more than I did before I bought this item. A good thing about this is that you can add an SD Card to the device for more games in case you didn't feel 80 games were enough. The "arcade games" are actually quite fun. They're simple games so if you're really bored, the games can help you. I don't know if there's saving in your games, I've never played the RPGs on the device so I don't know. The only downside is that the stereo is bad so you have to wear headphones or turn down the volume. Another downside is that I heard you have 5 hours of gameplay but the device must charge for 11 hours, now I'm not sure because when I charged my device, it charged in 5 hours. Overall, this item is great and I would totally recommend this to anyone who wants to relive childhood memories or if someone just wants to play the games for fun. (P.S. The shipping was really fast. Kind of cheap
I bought this to play some of the old game, I use to like. It was to be able to hook to your TV it will not. It will not save your game you have to start over if you shut it off. Sound is bad. If you just want to play a while and shut it off it will be OK for you. I can not say, I would tell you to buy one save your money and get a better model.Read full review

I really like the Sega Genesis Ultimate Portable Game Player
It's almost everything I could want in a retro Sega Genesis portable system
It comes with the 80 built in games which is nice, but I wish there were more Sega Genesis games on it
The speaker on it sounds ok overall, but if you like to play with headphones/earphones then it sounds pretty good
My only major gripe is that you can not save any of your games
Hopefully they'll fix that in the next version and you can save all your games
Even if they would make it that you could save on and SD card would be nice!

Although there are only 39 genesis games, you can download games through a site for ROMs, (games) onto a SD card. I collected quite a handful of great games for the unit, and I am very happy. Only two downloaded games did not seem to work, I have yet to troubleshoot but, that's not the issue.,.. The buttons on the unit are a bit flimsy, but it's not bad. On Ghouls and Ghost I had a lot of trouble moving upward and sometimes get stuck. But I think those issues are with the software. Shooters control well, having no issues with controls.
Even so, I like the at games unit.
NOTE: Later I later found out, it was the Audio/Video cable I connected to the TV was defective. After buying a new cable I found it working the video output was very good.Read full review

Fun and cute, but too bad about the sound
This portable Sega Genesis handheld is totally worth the asking price, especially if you add an SD card full of your favorite games that weren't included in this version. The 2016 edition is nice because it includes 3 new role-playing games and the ability to save your progress. The worst part of this handheld is the sound. It's okay for some of the jangly Genesis music like in Road Rash, but anything melodic like Phantasy Star III or Sonic the Hedgehog is far enough off to be quite annoying.
