Not my first automatic!

Been collecting watches for a little while, and was always intrigued by this one. I like the beige dial - a point of difference in my collection.

Surprisingly functional, no fuss, and exactly as described!

The band I actually thought was OK, but a little scratchy at first.

Great value all around

Seiko 5 military watch is a stylish watch and very comfortable to wear as casual watch.

The mechanism is very good and all around fit is great. Some people complain about the strap, but I find the strap also fits for purpose and matches with the style of the watch. I wear it with no hesitation at all.

A great looking watch with automatic winding system

I bought the creme color version of this watch. It has creme dial with creme nylon strap. It's an awesome watch, really nice looking and very reliable. The back case is transparent, in order to watch the internal mechanism. The calendar shows the day number and also the day name, in both English and Spanish languages.

I have found only one issue with it: As the winding system is automatic you must wear the watch in order to keep it running. Leaving it at home for a whole day means it will stop functioning, unless you remember to shake it softly several times a day.

Best value mechanical watch.....in the world!

Essential addition to any watch enthusiast's collection, and it's cheap enough for kids! Great idea for a first mechanical watch. Also beats competition in durability and accuracy, so worth getting for every day wear. Granted, it's not fancy. And it's probably made in Malaysia or China. Great entry level automatic watch.
