Triple Shots
I broke the ribbon cable off one Triple Shot while installing it, thus ruining it. Although simple, this installation is by no means trivial. That doesn't reflect on the Mounting Ring - it's a brilliant solution for those who want to be able to split coils. More Choices
I have ordered a couple pairs of these and have installed them on one guitar so far. Going to do the other shortly. I have installed 3-way coil tap switches on other guitars which give each pickup a series/parallel/single coil choice. These pickup rings go one better by giving you the option of selecting either coil and I've found it does make a difference in the sound. It matters to me, although it's debatable if you would notice it in the mix.
When playing live it can be difficult to set them up before the song and to remember to put them back after, or to change settings mid-stream.
They are easy to wire up and solder and install, and work perfectly.
These are really good to have for playing classic rock and bring you one step closer to that 'one size fits all' guitar. Read full review...

GREAT capability to add to any humbucker equipped guitar
Always great to have these available when installing humbuckers for their versatility in selection of coils when splitting to provide additional tonal variation. Also makes for much less clutter in the pot cavity so you can still wire P-P ovl pots for phase and serial/parallel. Good accessory for humbucker guitars.
I have used these before. They are very handy and versatile and a great idea. I am currently using them with DiMarzio 36th Anniversary humbuckers, which split pretty well.
The drawback is a rather weak and delicate connection where the wires attach to the pickup ring under the switches. Be careful there or that can pop off, leaving 4 tiny connection points that are impossible for a mere mortal to resolder. (Guess how I know that).

It´s a help hand at pickups bobbin configuration, but the switches have low quality, after few months the contacts produce a huge noise em its switched, For this price, I spectated much more.
