BRILLIANT....
I bought the DVD to replace the''video cassette''. I know and LOVE this most excellent movie very well....I have enjoyed it multiple times and that is how such quality grabs you.
All cast brilliant....everything brilliant, reflecting Shakespeare's times, politics.....and comedy. .
Hidden jokes....the multi Oscar winner movie with excellent music is a ''stand out '' for years and Paltrow perfect ...as is Fiennes

Historically speaking ...Virginians were so called before they even sailed to seek a colony in the 1580's....Raleigh's flattery and ambition for Elizabeth to secure a colony for her in return to her granting of ships for the adventure.....
