Sharlimar The Clown A Learning Experience
This is a hard read, but the author has a gift of words. Wish I had read it with a yellow high lighter in my hand.
Had heard of Salman Rushdie for years, all religion vs literature. Saw him on Charlie Rose one night and Charlie briefly talked about the plot and I thought I would read the "words" myself. So I ordered it. No regrets.Read full review...
this is insanely a great read
there is so much detail in this book that you must take hold of your time and grasp every little detail. i really enjoy the read and it challenges your mind. every page there are usually a new vocabulary and you must look them up to understand the point. sometimes i can't put the book down and actually concentrate on my studies. there are 4 to 5 main chapters that describe the lives of 4 to 5 individuals. you can actually feel the pain that shalimar the clown has went through and the people in kashmir.Read full review...
