In the vein of 'Hitman'...

...James Remar and Mario Van Peebles star in this suspenseful story of a special ops sniper who reluctantly accepts one final mission before retiring into obscurity. Dillon (Remar) is an ex-Navy Seal turned special ops/CIA sharpshooter who is capable of some amazing sniping skills, but now that he's 'had his fill' of the 'war game', he's about to hang up his sniper rifle for good. Just as he's preparing to disappear into obscurity, Dillon learns that a well-know terrorist, Miguel Deguerre, has settled in small-town USA (Julian, CA) with plans to sell nuclear materials to North Korea, and must be stopped. Under pressure, Dillon takes off for Julian, where Deguerre owns a sprawling lakeside home.

After planting hidden cameras around Deguerre’s estate and scoping out a drug deal, Dillon begins to question the validity of this mission—almost as quickly as Julian’s Sheriff Gardner (Bruce Boxleitner, “Babylon 5”) becomes suspicious of Dillon’s identity. When Dillon’s plan to infiltrate a party at the estate is thwarted by Deguerre’s henchmen, he receives word that Flick has arrived in Julian with a trio of professional killers. Now, Dillon wonders which one has set a trap for him—and why. Suddenly, an ambitious terrorist plot goes unexpectedly awry, and the man who was supposed to stop it is now at the center of a deadly conspiracy, as he too becomes 'a target' and the chase is far from over!

About the only thing that I didn't care for about this film was the fact that when the audio was played-back through my Sony 'Bravia' 5.1 surround sound system, there's just too much overbearing bass for my liking which had a tendency to actually drown-out some of the actors' dialog at times. On a positive note, there are some very nice scenes of Julian, CA (a well-known historical former mining town, as well as a nice place to cruise-up via the Harley or sports car for the day or one can even partake in seasonal apple picking...if you're into that type of thing) which is located within the upper hills NE of San Diego/SE of Temecula, CA.
