This copy of the Shobogenzo is one of the premier translations and most likely one of the only ones you'll find that isn't a compilation of excerpts from the entire text. For anyone studying Zen or Buddhism this is one of the most remarkable and succinct texts available. It is not for the beginner which is why I purchased it because its beyond your typical new age east meets west style modern take you often see in popular print books about Buddhism.Read full review...
