This is a pro level lens. For what this lens cost and for the potential money that can be made with its IQ, they are practically free. In other words it can pay for itself very very quickly if your a full time pro shooting for a living. You could buy two of these for the price of one and double your shoot with a second shooter or b-roll. Seriously i don’t get why it’s half the cost of Nikon f mount lenses when these sigma art lens outshoot them. They are heavier, built better, solid metal and the glass leaves absolutely nothing to be desired. Quick focus, superb IQ, weather sealed. I hope sigma will come out with Z mount lenses, because if they do I expect They will outperform the highly touted Z glass Nikon makes at half the cost. Read full review...

Great lens for less than a Nikkor

The Sigma 24-70 is a great lens for varied focal lengths and amazingly sharp. I rated it four stars due to the heavier weight. I think it's right up there with the Nikkor lenses in terms of quality. Great lens for the price.

It took forever for SIGMA to release this lens. Waited over (5) mounts after pre-ordering.
The lens was worth the Waite. This new lens is perfect out of the box. No doc corrections necessary at all. This lens requires you to be a better photographer. Good photographic skills will be of benefit in using this lens.

A 24-70mm f2.8 is a must have for a full frame camera, it has wide to portrait range, excellent construction, low light capabilities and Optical Stabilization.
