Exactly describes it.

I am a fan of the sims. I started playing the sims 11 years ago, and I haven't gotten tired of it. I have bought almost all of the expansions of each version. It gives me an outlet from the real world. This is one more great product that EA has made to enhance the Sims line. I deeply enjoy the sims 3. My kids love to make different people in this game. My oldest child now plays the games more than I do. I would recommend this game to anyone who wants a fun interactive game to play.Read full review...

Best expansion pack ever!

This is without a doubt my absolute favorite Sims 3 expansion pack, and I have almost all of them (only missing 2). It has so many new features that it's staggering. There's really something for everyone here; especially if you want something new to do with base game features (Nectar making is an amazing addition to gardening) and there are a lot of new recipes, new music, and fun new items. Honestly, there's no way to describe how many amazing things are included in this expansion pack; it's something you have to experience for yourself.Read full review...

Great Expansion Pack

This Expansion Pack has given my sims 3 game so many more places and activities to do. I highly recommend this expansion pack. For the money the amount of game play it adds to your sims 3 game is tremendous. I am very pleased with this expansion pack.Read full review...

The Perfect Excuse to Stay Home All Day

The thing I've most run across -- and was true of myself -- is that most of us spent so much time & money on The Sims 2, and still got sucked into buying The Sims 3. We all thought, "Sims 3 turned out to be so much fun, why bother with the expansions just yet?"

WRONG. You might have asked yourself how they could expand on a game like TS3, but they did, and they did it WELL.

Things I love about this expansion:
- Mummies actualy startled me into making my Sim run away really quickly.
- Basements. And without all the extra work. Seriously, it's click-n-drag now.
- There are so many goals (read "life-aspirations" for the TS2-ers) you actually don't get bored.
- Huge improvement: the wishes don't repeat constantly. That's something that really annoyed me about TS2; you picked certain aspirations so they would behave a certain way, but you maybe didn't really care for thier career goals, etc. In this game, if they want to be a cop and you don't make them a cop before the wish expires, they want to be something else.

All in all, it's pretty great. And the eBayer I bought it from got me half the retail price. It's SERIOUSLY worth the $20 or so.

Great Addition

The awesomely fun gameplay, items, and new map that comes with this Expac is really fun. From getting your sim to snorkel to getting them to find items while they snorkel. There is a lot you can do with this one in game but what is really cool is the fact you can own a resort of your own and earn money off of people coming to it. You could say it's like any other venue but hey....is it? This one is a resort.Read full review...

So much to do!

OK, so EA has bugs to work out with this expansion pack, but it is new and all new games require tweaking after release. The have to patch their patch.

Other than that, this expansion pack adds so much more to the game than ever before with Sims 2. Some people have compared it to the Vacation expansion pack for Sims 2. But this is SOOO NOT like that!

You have 3 locations to choose from and many, many adventures for each location. As you complete adventures your Sims gain VISA points. There are 3 VISA levels for each area of adventure. The higher the VISA, the longer you can stay! Once you reach level 3, you can buy a vacation home or even a certificate of partnership. Unless you choose the adventurer trait, you have to wait 2 Sims days before you can travel again.

From a building aspect, basements are easier to create now with the basement tool. You can even create secret rooms and tombs with hidden switches!

If you like solving puzzles (like I do), you will love this EP!

World Adventures Sims 3

I really would have preferred it if the game had more items in it, the pickings are pretty slim when it comes to decor, building materials and decorations. As for the play, I really havent played much in the way of sending my Sims to vacation, but I do know it costs way more than I would be willing to make them pay for the trip, they would end up dead tired and possibly die from the constnt on the go, My sims are lame all I can say.Read full review...

Worth the cost! You won't want to stop playing!

This is by far one of my favorite expansion packs from EA's The Sims in the entire three game series. This game takes you yo Egypt, France and China with strange and fun mysteries in each location. You can even learn martial arts. I love that part a lot! There is a way to steal great fortunes, but also a way to get cursed! Very exciting overall and worth the price.Read full review...

What a lovely Sim vacation.

Sims 3 World Adventures is a lot of fun for a casual game player like me. You get to visit three different lands which are similar to Paris, Egypt, and China. You get to meet new people and explore random museums and go on different adventures. (Hence the name). It's a great way to actually get out of regular Sim town and go on a Sim vacation. You can actually see many of the things you do, but sometimes if you find something haunted say, it doesn't show you what's happening and instead just sends you pop ups. Overall, it's a lot of fun and a great Sim vacation.Read full review...
