Sirio Tornado 27
Even though I knew it was manufactured with aircraft quality aluminum...I was surprised at how lightweight this antenna was! It has already survived 30+ mph north winds in the Midwest! Flat SWR across the 11 meter bands! Great RX and TX even though I had it up only 9 ft off the ground for testing. Putting it up on a tower come Spring! Directions are pretty straight-forward no matter what your intentions...just pull up a mm to inch conversion table online while assembling the antenna. Best bang for your buck in a quality gound plane!

Great antenna!
The Sirio Tornado 27 antenna is a great CB antenna. It has excellent transmit and receive. Going from an Antron 99 to this antenna was a night and day difference. If you have a pole that is able to slide into the base of the antenna then you can slide the antenna right over the pole and won't need to use the U-bolt style clamps which appear a bit cheesy. The only issue with the Sirio Tornado 27 is the plastic piece that connects the bottom of the antenna to the first section. The plastic connection can break and the antenna will come crashing down. I believe the solution to this is to have enough pole (at least 6 foot) above any rigid mounting or guy wires. This way the pole will give a bit and won't be to rigid. I would also recommend using blue lock tight on all of the screws and allen screws. This way nothing will work it's way loose. I adjusted the tip to exactly what the manual stated for 27.185 and I have a flat match on all 40 channels. I couldn't be happier with the performance of this antenna. I believe that if you follow my advice about the installation then you will be very happy and the antenna should hold up just fine.Read full review...
