Great game for a good value!

First of all, I used to play this game a lot on the 360 and unfortunately I had to play off-line pretty much all the time because I didn’t have the money to pay for Xbox live, so when I switched to PS3 I was able to actually do all the awesome fun stuff I was never able to do before on Xbox, and that was really great for me in the end, so being able to play a great game on a console with free online multiplayer equals A win-win.Read full review...

Not a bad game if bought used.....

The best thing about this game is the HUGE open world for you to skate. Doing tricks on the board is fun. When you are walking, running or doing anything off the board, the characters movements are pretty lame. Still a fun game if bought used and cheap!Read full review...

Just wanna skate :)

Back to basics skate game with great mechanics.... no BS challanges that have nothing to do with skating. It's a relaxing pace and is more "realistic" than the other chaotic and arcade-y skate games. Sound track ha some good songs and the really neat "interactive" sound track that changes the pace and tones as you change your skating up and areas is super cool. My six year old also enjoys this game. I recommended it to anyone that has enjoyed skate or bmx games.Read full review...

Awesome game! 8/10

Great game, I've probably put at least 100 hours on my last copy that inexplicably disappeared. By no means is it an ugly game, but the graphics aren't the absolute best compared to current gen. For a PS3 game, they're great, not quite The Last of Us great, but still great. Gameplay is awesome but can get a bit repetative at times. Taking breaks and cycling through other games can keep the experience fresh. Get some friends and start a team, really adds to the fun.

Overall awesome game. Personally wouldn't pay more than $15 total. Not because it isn't worth it, but because it can be found for half of that.

Great for my 6-year-old nephew

Bought this for my nephew as a birthday gift. I don't play Pokemon; so, I researched it thoroughly before buying to ensure it was age-appropriate and fun. The family told me he shrieked with joy when he opened it. He's a huge Pokemon fan and has been playing it a lot and loves the game.Read full review...

The nostalgia.

Packaged well, played well, clean disc. Plenty of memories with this game being the only one I had growing up. I had lost my copy about a year ago and to find a decently priced copy was very difficult. I am greatly pleased with this purchase.Read full review...

It’s Skate 3

I dunno what to say, it’s Skate 3 with all it’s crazy glitches. The story is weak compared to the second game. There’s actually barely a story. You’re just completing challenges. The bails are way more cartoonish and unrealistic than Skate 2. The skating is great though. Satisfying as hell. Read full review...

Awesome!

Great game, came as described. I have had many hours of enjoyment playing the game and many more to come. For being a game that is almost 10 years old it is very well done and anybody will enjoy it, especially people who skateboardRead full review...

Great title!

The words "updated yearly" are scary for diehard fans of any series to hear. Yearly updates translate into less development time on the features that blow everyone's mind and more time spent applying incremental improvements across several smaller, less substantive areas of the game. Skate 3 has fallen victim to the symptoms of a yearly update with small improvements that are devoid of any one feature for the game to hang its hat on. For newbies to the series, I'd say this is the one to purchase, because there's a ton of cool skateboarding to be had, but if you took the plunge on the first two Skates, you might want to wait for the next iteration.

Skate 3 tries to give players a sense of camaraderie with both AI and real human players that can join up on your skating team. The point of Skate 3's career mode is to build a new skateboard brand from scratch and your pals eventually sign on to help you out (though the actual story ultimately carries little weight). To get them to join up, you'll need to get notoriety. Once you attain a high enough level of street cred with the masses (tracked through a sales chart of sorts), you'll get your first teammate. You can customize your mates just as easily as your own skateboarder with merchandise, different decks, wheels and everything else you can think of. What's even cooler, if a friend on your friends list has created a skateboarder in Skate 3, you can use their character model on your team. No uploading needed on their part.
