I don’t think you can beat this for the price, it’s strong, looks good, has a grease fitting to keep the shiv moving free. I will probably shim the side plates a bit closer to the pulley to help keep trash from wedging it. Just what I was looking for!

I needed a heavy duty snatch block for tree work, loading my trailer and the back of a pickup. I couldn’t find anything to meet my specs. at the hardware or farm supply stores. If I did they were cost prohibitive. Most less expensive snatch blocks could only take narrower wire rope and were rated for lower work loads. This one will handle a arborists synthetic bull rope. Great pulley for a reasonable price.

Purchased 4 of these to setup in a complex mechanical advantage system for pulling stumps. They were actually larger than I had expected and so far have held up without fail - can't say the same for the 3/8" chain that was connected to my wire rope... I did manage to sightly bend one of the loop connectors due to "bouncing" my tractor instead of performing a straight pull - I'll chalk that up to operator error.Read full review...
