Mouthpiece Sleep Apnea Snore Prevention Silicone Rubber Device is OK but...

NEW Stop Snoring Mouthpiece Sleep Apnea Guard Bruxism Anti Snore Pure Grind Aid; ad says it holds lower jaw slightly fwd to clear throat, and 4 air holes to breathe thru. I bought it for snore reduction. Bought Sept 2, RCVD Sept 6, washed it, sleep wore it 4 hours. Results unclear. Wife says it helps somewhat with the snoring but not more than a little help. She says I am a world class snorer and cannot sleep with me more than a couple hours.
This item is comfortable compliant and soft rubber but not real easy to sleep with it in the mouth.
I cannot tolerate a CPAP machine mask. I do have sleep apnea. Tried the hard plastic teeth guards to no effect.
Doctors say there is not much help for my snoring even with surgery. Wife just needs a separate bedroom.
Had high hopes for this item but not too much. Oh well it was cheap enough.
I'd bought also another brand and it is not as good as this one but was cheaper, stiffer, not as smooth, not as soft.
This item is high quality, very slick and smooth, just the right hardness, could not be made better.
If anyone has a cure for snoring I'd sure like to hear about it.

It works O.K. Just for its fair value.

I almost got used to wear this item, however, i dries up my mouth that I wake up to clean my mouth and then I have some problems going back to sleep. At other times when I sleep on my left or right side, I have to take it off because I cannot fit it in nicely.
I then proceeded to getting a better fit unit from my dentist which works much better. But the old saying is true: one gets what one pays.

Works great but durability is a huge issue

It has effectively stopped my snoring. The problem is that I've gone through 4 of them in the past 5 months! I'm not sure but I am not a teeth grinder so how the tearing of them is happening is unknown to me. There is also no instructions what so ever. But since it works, I'm going to have to keep purchasing more and hope they last longer or just treat them like disposable contact lenses.Read full review...

Just Awful!

This may be one of the worst products on the market. All I did was drool. Drool pouring out the front through breathing ports. I thought I was going to drown in saliva. According to my wife, the noises from drooling and trying to keep my airway open was worse than the snoring. Made from some kinda soft material that left an awful taste in your mouth like sucking on used tire. You definitely wont snore because to snore you have to sleep and you wont sleep with this thing in your mouth. The wife made me throw it away the next morning. Read full review...

Not a permanent solution

This item is okay quality, but for the price it is a good test product to determine if an expensive similar item will likely fix your problem. I have foreign objects embedded in the formed materials of my product which makes me question the cleanliness of the environment in which the item was made. Also, the item lasted a little over a week. I suggest that you buy if you don't know if a mouthpiece will solve your problem and if you find that it works seek a more permanent solution.Read full review...

Will take getting used to.

Item came in plastic clam shell case and nothing else, no instructions, maintenance, no nothing. From reading online about similar products, looks like a chin strap and and a few weeks to get used to this are also required. Read full review...

Too Big

The concept is good, per I had one made by a dentist at $350.00 custom fit, and it worked well. It actually worked too well, and the fit was too perfect, and it started to move my teeth and off-set my bite. So, I stopped using it. I tried this model, per it would not be so tight of a fit. This model had a nice fit for me, but it is way too big and holds my lips wide open. Yup, you cannot close your lips, so snoring will happen, along with drooling. Read full review...

Mouthpiece stop snoring Bruxism guard

It is a nice mouth guard and I really liked it but if you are a real grinder then this isn't for you I went through it in 2 nights that is why I gave it 3 stars. But if you don't grind really bad then this is great then, it is nice and soft and comfortable. Hope this helps everyone that it is a very nice mouthpiece only if you are not a heavy grinder.Read full review...

One size does not fit all.

There is no possible way I could sleep with this in my mouth. I started gagging the second I put it in my mouth. I tried to cut it down in the back. I took a scissors and cut off some of the material but it is still too big. I tried many many times to get used to it but it hurts my gums after just a minute.
It might work for you if you have a bigger mouth but it didn't work for me.

Doesn't help with snoring and hurts teeth

Doesn't help at all with snoring less. In fact I snored exactly the same and it even hurt my teeth the next day. It even gave me a headache. Very awkward to have it in your mouth. I tried it 2 nights in a row. First night was the mouth piece by it self. The second night I used my retainers with the mouth piece. Those of you with retainers probably know that if your to the point where you only have to wear it once or twice a week at night then your teeth my not move hardly at all anymore. But it still hurt bad, I definitely don't recommend this product to anyone. I just threw mine away.Read full review...
