30 some years ago I had acid reflux so bad my throat was scarred. My chiropractor said to try the Solgar brand of digestive enzymes. my reflux was so bad everything gave me indigestion. I took his advice and went through 2 bottles and its been gone all these years. I noticed a couple months ago it was starting to bother me a little after spicy hot food. I got a bottle and it seems to be gone again.
He did tell me that people assume its too much acid in the stomach when the opposite is the truth. The lack of acid makes the food ferment in you stomach and it bubbles up into your throat causing the indigestion! Taking antacids only reduces the acids in your stomach making it worse rather tan better.
