So far so good. Looks to be in great shape for a new but open package camera. Time will tell.

Looks to be in very good shape for a somewhat new camera. Apparently, it had been opened from the original packaging which I was informed of prior to my purchase. It is nearly impossible to find a brand new a350 and I had numerous lenses specifically for this camera. I could not afford the brand new a68 so I am happy, so far, with this one. It arrived sooner than I expected too!Read full review...

Sony's A350 summed up.

Everyone wants the best for themselves, but at what price? I myself too want the very best. I have done immense research and came to the conclusion that Sony by buying out Konica Minolta has secured itself a permanent seat in today's market share.
The A300&A350 are both identical in every way except the megapixel count; one has 14.2 the other 10.2 respectfully. I found that unless you're a professional photographer it makes no difference which one you buy.
There are many features that are very useful in the camera's. For 1. the AF Live View, it is very handy & with the camera's tilt feature makes it that much easier to use. The screen has a 2.7" TFT LCD Tilt & Shift with 230,000 pixels and an Anti-reflective coating on it. So it is very much capable to see tiny details.
Furthermore you could hook up any Sony and Minolta lens to it, and there's quite a bunch of them. The camera does not depend on image stabilization to come from the lens because it feature's body-integrated image stabilization. The stock lens that comes with it is an ordinary 18-70mm Kit Lens, which will do for the begging photographer.
To sum it up the camera is a great deal for the money. If you want another helpful review visit this website: http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/SonyDSLRA350/

Takes very nice pictures for its age.

Very nice camera just wish it had a better view finding system. Have to trust it’s auto focus system for truly sharp photos. Paired with my Minolta 50mm f2.8 macro it has done that very well.

" SONY rocks! "

As a lifelong Minolta carrier, I had basically no choice other than the Sony to adapt my array of lenses with auto focus. This camera will be a basic introduction to the digital world.

Most all features are very similar to the 35mm format, the good news being, so MANY ADDITIONAL possibilities abound! The camera worked flawlessly with my MacOS, right into Mac Photos and Photoshop Elements.

It will be an enjoyable in between unit with an eventual step up in the future.

Thank you, Sony.

Sony A-350 DSLR camera

I expected more from this camera. I purchased two Sony lenses for this camera. These lenses work O.K. for now. I will need to upgrade to the high end lenses. Maybe then, I will be able to achieve quality photos from this camera. I'm not to fond of the loud shutter noise. The camera noise scares off wildlife!!! Not cool !! The LCD screen is hard to see when shooting outside in the sunlight. I will need to buy a Carl Zeiss lens for sure. Maybe a 50mm prime lens too? Anyways, I'd rate this camera a 8 out of 10. My ratings may go up if my photo quality improves. I can't complain too much, because the $525 price was mighty fine. SNAP,SNAP,SNAPRead full review...

VERY HAPPY WITH IT

I bought this camera because I own and have used a Minolta 35mmm and have several lens for it and the fit this Sony model since Sony bought out Minolta cameras.

Have used this camera for a couple weeks now. Is easy to operate, not to heavy and the controls are easy to use and understand. I love the flip screen for takeing high or low angles. The built in anti shake feature is great as it works with any lens you put on it.

Also have taken some close portraits with it, and in the portrait mode does a good job. Took landscape pictures of the mountains here where I live and they have turned out very good as well.

I used it for the 4th of July festival, and the pictures of the parade, carnival and people all come out great. Also used it to take pictures of the bull rideing event, put the camera on fast action sports mode and it captured the bull riders great, so got some real good action shots with it.

I purchased to AF lens with the camera, a 28mm too 80mm, and a 75mm too 300mm. I so far have been happy with results useing these lens, along with the lens from my 35mmm camera on it.

I consider myself a semi-pro in photography as I have had schooling in photography and worked my way through college working in a photo studio. This camera is for the person who wants too step up from a point and shoot and have more controle over there picture takeing.

I love the auto focus feature, as at the age of 61 my eyes are not as sharp anymore, so for me that helps alot.

Also with the 14.2 megs, nice size enlargements can be made without compromising the quality of the photography I have found.

As of this date I really have not found anything that I dislike about the camera at all.

I know the picture that I have taken so far have been ever bit as good as I ever took with my 35mmm.

If you purchase this camera, have fun and be creative with it.....thanks...country terrys

What an excellent little camera!

After reading every single review I could get my eyes on, I finally decided to buy the Alpha A350. I already own the A100 and the A700, both of which I enjoy very much. Why the A350 then?... well, there are two new features in the Alpha line, one is the Live View, and the other is the adjustable/moveable LCD screen. I have found myself many times I want to take a picture of a subject without the need of getting their attention when I put the camera viewfinder on my face. So the A350 will let you do it, while you look at the LCD at waist level. Another feature I love of the Alpha line is the Steady Shot mode, where the camera will reduce the shake of your hands no matter what lens you put in the camera. Sony Alpha line of DSLRs is very promissing... with prices so low (which is very strange for a Sony brand product) and excellent quality. I also own a few more DSLRs from each of the other major camera brands, which I also love, but somehow Sony Alpha has won my heart... Now, if I could only make this love affair last... Nice camera

Sony Digital SLR Camera with 18-70MM Lens
The α (alpha) DSLR-A350 with the included the SAL-1870 zoom lens puts the creative control in your hands with unlimited possibilities. Achieve endless creativity, with unbelievable results.

The SAL-1870 lens for the α(alpha) DSLR camera handles the full range of your most common shots, but there's nothing standard about its advanced optical design. In 35mm equivalent, it covers wide-angle 27mm to 105mm midrange telephoto for snapshots, portraits, interiors and more. An excellent all-around lens for travel.

Sony A350

I have only been using this camera about a month but I have enjoyed using it! I am not a professional photographer - more like a professional hobby photogrpher. Along with the 14 megapixels, which allows beautifully clean large prints, I really love the tiltable, live view screen. Very nice camera. Easy operation. Can use one the the presets or switch over to manual use when I feel more creative. Battery life has proven to be adequate for my use, while I haven't yet needed a backup battery, I'm sure a spare charged battery would be a good investment. I would recommend this camera for a beginning or intermediate photographer looking to step it up a notch.Read full review...

Best DSLR for the Money By Far!

The A350 is an absolutely awesome camera. We had an A100 before this and this is a definite upgrade in every aspect. This camera is so easy to get great shots it is just unbelievable. Highly recommended for amateurs and professionals alike. The features are endless. If you are looking, then look no more, this is the best bang for the buck you will find. We can still use all of our older Minolta and A100 lenses to boot. Wow what a camera! Friend of mine saw the pictures and said they are way better than his with his much higher end and much more expensive Canon DSLR.Read full review...
