Very, Very GOOD!!!

This was a long overdue upgrade to a 6 year old Sony head unit. This unit has a built-in HD Tuner, USB interface, Ipod Controller which my older one did not have. Easy to install, partly because the old Sony unit and the new unit had identical wiring harnesses. The only thing my older unit had that this one didn't, was 4 volt preamp outputs. I really love the ability to play music from a flash drive and the Ipod controls. Until I started to use them I hadn't realize how much I missed them. I found this unit very easy to use after I did my initial setup. Only 2 cons. There is a choice of Blue or Green illumination colors. The Blue one is way to bright at night and very distracting. For this reason I use the Green color. The illumination color does not dim with the dimmer control. The other is the face plate gets washed out in bright sunlight which makes it very hard to read. Nice radio with just a few tweaks for it to be a solid 5-star.

I bought two of these radios as upgrades to my older cars. Overall, I’m extremely pleased with the radio.

Pros:
Very easy installation. Great features and AUX inputs. Over-all rating 4.5 out of 5 stars

Cons:
I wish the back light was controlled by interior dimming. Wish the off/on switch were a push of the dial—instead, it’s the entry mode for options such as bass level, etc. Wish one could save HD (second level) channels on the quick-select buttons—only the top-level channel is saved by the buttons. But, don’t let these few items otherwise discourage you from a very fine unit. These are just areas I would improve upon were I Sony.Read full review...

Many New Stations Great Sound Custo EQ Blue Green Display Remote SubControl

I love my HD Radio I never guessed there were so many Free Stations I was missing out on and a great Tip for any one who has a similar model Sony like the one show the install is a breeze I had a slightly older model Identical to the one shown and just had to slide it out and switch the plugs on back had no wiring to redo or change a awsume and welcome suprise and just by this simple upgrade I ended up rattiling my Rear View Mirror off of course I have sub woofers etc but the sound quality and the bit of extra power was a suprise great customizable EQ blue or green display remote sub input and control Its A great BUY totaly dont think I would ever change this one out untill mabey there is a more advanced similar model so dont play buy this sony today forrreall PeaceRead full review...

GREAT FOR THE PRICE!I challenge anyone to find something better for less!

Super cool head unit. Works great with my Iphone 4s. HD radio is just an added bonus. If you have ever had a sony head unit you will love this one, and If you haven't this one is a great first product. The only flaw is that in direct sunlight it is sometimes difficult to read whats on the display.

Bottom line: GREAT HEAD UNIT FOR THE PRICE!I challenge anyone to find a cheaper head unit with the same specs.Read full review...

I purchased the CDX-GT700HD because it is a feature packed head unit for an incredible price. After a lot of online research and hands on test drives at my local best buy and fry's, it became my only choice. Very user friendly and has lots of options.

I've always been a fan of Sony products and this includes the new GT700HD stereo. It has been so good, that I have installed it in 2 of my vehicles. There are several reasons why I like it , but the USB port has to be my favorite. The new memory sticks are so small and you can pack a lot of music on this. Now install a sony amp and sub and enjoy.

I just replaced installed this unit in my 95 Wrangler and I absolutely love it. This unit has great features and the HD channels are outstanding.
