More camera features for less money! Sony reliability at it's best!!!

This camera is awesome! I only buy Sony for my cameras, as I am familiar with all the features. The design changes only a little with each newer model, giving me the confidence to know how to use it to the best of it's abilities. I don't have to read the manual for 17 hours before taking it out and shooting pictures. It is a point and shoot type camera, and is great for anyone! It has the auto feature for those that are just beginning to take pictures, and has advanced features for those that know what they want their picture to look like! The screen size is standard, not too big nor too small. After loading the picture onto the computer, there are so many details that you didn't realize the camera captured! You can adjust the pixel size to take lots of photos or to take less photos with awesome detail. The only thing I dislike is that when on auto feature, if there is movement, sometimes the picture is blurry. But, there is a setting to use so you can capture a movement without the blurry effect. I have used other digital cameras, when borrowing from friends, and I just like my Sony cameras more. It is easy to connect to the computer, and I like that I can delete the photos off my camera through my computer software. Saves a step.Read full review...

Great pocket camera

I own six cameras, and three of them are the same model - the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S700. I keep one in each car and one on my desk, to stick in my pocket anytime I don't want to carry one of the bigger cameras. The picture quality is fine, and macro shots are impressive. I'm happy to use AA batteries. The only downside if there is one, is that it uses the Sony MemoryStick Pro Duo rather than the standard SD card. Not an issue for me at all.Read full review...

Sony Camera Cyber-Shot

It is a point and shoot digital, no complicated dials. Sony quality that makes for great pictures. I have another Sony model in the 7.2 range and it too, makes great pictures, and when I purchased another camera - Sony was the only choice. The 7.2 Megapixel DSC-S700 is an excellent choice for web, myspace or print pictures. The Sony does an excellent job of providing detail of the subject. Sony DSC-S700

Nice sharp pictures including on Macro.
Easy to use.
Does not reset values to factory default each time you turn it off.
Easy for anyone that does not know how to use digital cameras. Set it to Auto and just understand that you need to have the Macro function turned on any time you take photos of an object that is less the 4 feet away.

Takes nice pictures, and is a great value!
