Light weight, and easy to carry arround. Performance adequate.

Used to own a camera the same as this years ago. It went faulty and at the time thought it not worth repairing, so threw it away.
It has one great feature though, it imprints the date of taking the picture on the photograph. You either like this or you don't. I do, and there isn't a camera on the market at present that will do this.
So I bought this non working model, and it is now in for repair. A great camera to have nearby, as I recall. Just waiting the rpair man to give me a call to say it is ready.

Short lived

Camera worked for about a week and then paced up. Just as well I did not spend too much to buy it.

Review of Sony Cybershot DSC-T1 Camera

I bought one, as I had a housing for underwater photography for this item, and my old one had refused to work.
I like the large screen, and the quality of the photos on it. I also like the fact that it is compact and easy to use for good quality photos.
I dislike the manual, which is not simple, I gave up reading it. As a result I have not used functions such as macro, as I did not realize it existed. Lesson learnt: find someone who knows it to go through all it can do. This camera

Sony Cybershot DSC-T1

A good pocket size camera with lots of extras. Very good picture quality. The second one I've had but a common problem seems to be screen bleed on these. This is not just on this model but other Sony models. Another problem is it's difficult to see what you are taking in strong sunlight if the sun is behind you as it doesn't have a view finder. Other than that I reckon they are a good camera.Read full review...

Sony DSC-T1 Digital Camera

I used to own one of these but unfortunately dropped it and it stopped working properly. Realising it cost a lot to repair I looked on Ebay for a replacement. THese are great cameras, although being on the market for some time I guess they might be considered a bit out of date; however I noticed that whenever one came up for auction they were getting good end prices, so figured that rather than by something new I would look for a good secondhand model with all accessories. I found one and made a winning bid; I am very happy with it, and it's as if I never had a problem with my old one - result!Read full review...

Blurred screen

I love this camera but mine devoloped the same fault as many others on here, the blurry screen.
I contacted sony and it is due to a faulty chip ccd .The repair is free the same as a product recall.http://www.imaging-resource.com/badccds.html is a web page explaining the fault, and I got the number for sony repairs from www.sony.co.uk Hope this helps the many people on here with the same fault.Read full review...

Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-T1 Digital Camera

Well, this is a really nice little camera and I wasn't at all disappointed by it. It's compact and extremely easy to use. I bought it for my 8-year old daughter who did not need any explanation whatsoever to use it. The only minor downside of such a small camera is that the finger easily slips onto the little lens so that sometimes you take a picture (or a child more often) with a bit of finger on it. So you need to get used to holding it correctly. But for the rest there are only positif things. And i now use my 'better' and more performing Sony camera less, and i use this one more because it's so quick and easy.Read full review...

I love this camera

Very impressed, its lightweight, easy to use and has a really fast shutter speed. I am no camera expert but wanted a quick and easy to use camera that I could capture good and random pics of my 18 month old son, and as they move so fast at that age you dont have a lot of time to take the snap, this is no prob for this camera, it is ideal for it. Slim enough to fit in your bag, you never have an excuse to miss a moment!Read full review...
