Great night shot camera

Camera is easy to use, it has a nice size that is easy to travel with. It takes very nice pictures, I have been taking pictures of the night sky and it works great for this.

Poor auto focus for both pictures and videos

This Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W710 full spectrum conversion camera does not focus properly. About 8 out of 10 pictures taken are at least slightly blurry and out of focus, while some are of them are terribly out of focus. The auto focus similarly fails on videos as well. Turning on Center Focus or Spot Focus in the settings menu does not improve image quality. Turning the auto focus light on or off in the settings menu does not improve image quality either. When the IR filter was removed for the conversion, I wonder if anything was put in it's place to maintain auto focus functionality? Also note that this model camera can only shoot HD videos about 10 minutes at a time before it creates a 2GB file and automatically stops recording.Read full review...

Great product with very good picture quality

Purchased this camera knowing it was a refurbished unit, but wanted the small size, light weight, and high pixel count for my trip abroad. The camera was in better condition than I expected for a refurbished camera. The picture quality was excellent. I particularly liked the panoramic feature which permits you to play back the series of pictures in the pano picture...sort of like a mini-video, but at 12 megapixels. Battery life is good. The camera takes good quality photos. Vibrant and sharp. Was hoping for better video quality though. A bit fuzzy. Would have given it 5 stars then. Very small and easy to carry around in any pocket.

Great point and shoot camera!

The only drawback is the SD card is an odd size, sometimes hard to find, and even with the adapter doesn't fit the normal SD reader slots. Great pics, easy to use.

Easy to use and not expensive.

Love this camera!!! We are in our 60's and not real electronic savy but this camera is relatively easy to use with just a little reading from the book. Small enough to put in a 'hip pack' or a purse or pocket. I carry mine in my jeans pocket most of the time. I hate to carry a purse. It also has a cord to carry it with if you anticipate taking a picture real soon. Would highly recommend this camera. Takes clear pictures. The only drawback is that if you do a group it looks clear in the camera but when you look at it they look fuzzy. You need to take a few pictures to be sure you do not have fuzzy pictures.Read full review...
