This videocamera is excellent, amazing and pretty. I compared this model with others before make my purchase. I was looking for video quality, sound, pretty design and price. When I finally bougth it, I knew my decision was the correct. I had used it in two times and the results were more than I expected. The only bad thing is the battery life, its duration is poor and I have often to charge it. Refurbished Sony DCR-HC96

This CAMCORDER is a perfect compliment to our other DCR-HC96. It is easy to down load movies to the PC with our level of software or store on individually kept mini cassettes for the many users. The picture quality and sound is excellent on a high definition screen. The weight is right, not too heavy or too light. For us, more convenient to use that a new SONY model purchased, and better picture definition than earlier SONY models. Great camcorder for indoor low-light settings

I have been using this camcorder for over a year now, and I have been extremely pleased with it. Especially, it gives one of the best results for indoor low-light settings. It is compact and the new MINI-DV loading mechanism is better compared to older Sony models.

One thing I don't like about this camcorder is that you can take pictures in MemoryStick Pro Duo but cannot record movies on them.Read full review...

Be careful - Missing required base

Based on images appearing for this product, it doesn’t include the Handycam base station. For this particular camera you need the base station because without it you won’t be able to use transfer video or use a FireWire cable to save/import your videos onto a PC.
