Great product - very sturdy

I use regularly and have bought 2 of these now. Easy to put up and very strong. I use for my laptop at gigs - the lip means it won’t fall off but I Velcro for extra security.

Avoid

I had high hopes for this product when I purchased it considering the good reviews. Given that the stand, as according to the company information that builds the products, states it has a maximum load bearing of 15kg, the stand couldn't even hold the weight of my 1kg studio music mixer. The issue lays with the main bracing that is positioned half way down the vertical column of the stand. The brace is made of really cheap flimsy plastic that has two main threaded bolts than pass through it. These are to tighten up so the two part vertical column can be adjusted. The bolts cannot be tightened up to stop the stand from moving and when you do tighten them to a certain degree they rip right through the plastic brace. I had not realised this until, after sitting my expensive music mixer on top, the upper column gave way and slid down with force from the weight of the 1kg mixer and the upper stand column and steel flat bed that is sued to sit your mixer/projector/laptop upon. It sent my mixer crashing to the floor but not after hitting the stands metal tripod legs and damaging the mixer.Read full review...

Perfect for turbo trainer to put iPad or laptop on

Disappointed with the product

The advert for the tripod appeared to be exactly what I needed to use my laptop whilst standing. When using it I found the tripod height adjusting screw when tightened could not hold the weight of my laptop and the table slipped down making it impossible to use. I wrote the supplier asking for help but have not received a reply. I therefore give this product one star.Read full review...
