Particles Aching!

On this EP is the Spamolytic remix. Persoally i prefer the original(the Brap version is Awesome too!) but i stll love this one! The madness is still there but the pace is a little slower. The song is still disturbing. And longer!!!!The single itself includes some song versions hard to find anywhere else!! Shore Lined Poison remix is great!! They all are.
1. Spasmolytic [Remix]
2. Shore Lined Poison [Remix]
3. Harsh Stone White [Live in Denver]
4. Walking on Ice [Live Excerpts]
The original Spasmolytic is my personal favorite Skinny Puppy song from the Too Dark Park album. Very unique and fast paced song about hardcore addiction. A frightening look into the mind of an addict and the madness that comes with it. The music and lyrics compliment each other so well it is easy to put yourself right in the middle of the utter craziness and loss of self-control that is what one would call "drugged out of your freaking skull." Not a simple "drugs are cool" or "drugs are bad" song. Waaay more complex than that. A deeper song about the effects of drugs and life-problems swirled into a spiraling mess that becomes who we are. But thats just what i get from it.Wuff.

Spasmolytic EP, 1991- Skinny Puppy

NOTE: This product is NOT a 'single' as listed, but actually the Spasmolytic EP.
This EP is a great dissection of SP's work, featuring material from albums other than 'Too Dark Park.' The centerpiece is the Spasmolytic remix which I feel is superior to the original in that it is much more involved and complex. However, those looking for a direct, (relatively) simple SP track with bite and creepiness, the album version is for you. This is a must have EP for SP fans, especially when considering otherwise unavailable live material/songs are available here and nowhere else (including the Singles and B-Sides Collect releases).Read full review...
