Multiple Spirits, One Marathon
The film is a documentary that follows a half dozen or so people from different athletic backgrounds getting ready to run the Chicago Marathon. There are first time marathoners, elites, boston qualifiers and everything in between. The video starts a few months prior to the marathon and goes through each persons story and catches up with them during various points of their training. It's great to see other peoples aspects of marathoning, especially elites, first timers and season vets. The film does have a certain sense of emotionality because not everyone is successful. If you're thinking about running your first marathon, or forget what it felt like to do it the first time, I highly recommend this movie. I often watch various portions during my training as a motivational DVD, to give me a little push out the door when the weather isn't cooperating.Read full review...
Outstanding video
This is an excellent documental; It invites everyone to know (no matter if you are a runner or not) the implications in this marvelous sport.
Different goals in different runners make this DVD very special; the images it contains are an outstanding effort to show what a runner feel in the training toward the competition and the great day where 26.2 miles seem to be impossible. This documentary inspired me to keep running.
I started running for 8 to 9 months. I participated in a few 5K & 10K races and I've taken love to run. I identify with some of the people they interviewed. This documentary inspired me to keep running. I've seen it twice and I see it again. I am waiting Spirit of the Marathon II on DVD.Read full review...
Good movie about marathoning - not as good as I hoped.
I had heard great reviews about this movie and had high expectations. I thought that it was alright. I wasn't as inspired as I was hoping. A year ago I watched the marathon movie made by Nova Science and found that much more inspiring.Read full review...

Very good dvd for grtting ready for a marathon run worked great for my wife. Helped her get pumped for her run
