NOT Star Wars

As far as I'm concerned there are only 3 Star Wars Episodes. 4,5,6. The others are Digitally generated animations with a few actors thrown in and the title "Star Wars" slapped on as a money grab. Episodes 1, 2, 3 do NOT line up at all with the feel and look of 4,5,6. The didn't miss the mark, they missed the entire galaxy. Sad really.
As if it wasn't bad enough Lucas messed with 4,5,6 time and time again, he created these sub-par insults that go against everything that Lucas had worked so hard to create years ago. As far as I'm concerned there are only 3 Star Wars episodes. 4,5,6

Too Much CGI, Weak Acting, Brings This Movie Down.

I AM A HUGE STAR WARS FAN, but the pre-quels were a little disappointing. I enjoyed Ewan MacGregor performance, but Christiansen's blowed. I felt Natalie Portman did a decent job but that's all. There are other actors that added to the movie like the Late Christopher Lee, Jimmy Smits and Ian Mc Dermott. It's nothing special, but if you like Star Wars and wanted more movies well here U go. The recent sequels are so much better, but the originals are were it's at.Read full review...

A Prequel That Could Have Been Better.

I am not a fan of the prequels at all, too much CGI and the cast was weak except for Ewan McGregor. I purchased this for a friend who like me is a big Star Wars fan. After the prequels came out I thought the franchise would be destroyed, but Episode 7 saved it. When I received the movie it came in great shape, and my friend was thrilled to receive it.Read full review...

Awesome Movie!! My 7 year old son LOVES it !!!

In the second installment of the Star Wars series, EPISODE II--ATTACK OF THE CLONES, Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen) is now a teenage Jedi apprentice to Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor). Together they must protect Senator Padme Amidala (Natalie Portman) from a militant group of political activists that is trying to assassinate her. This group is led by the evil Count Dooku (Christopher Lee). Among other troubles, Anakin faces some hard choices as he begins to fall for Padme, knowing this love is forbidden by the Jedi knights' creed. In addition, Anakin begins to show his rebellious attraction to the dark side--which will eventually conquer him, when he becomes the future Darth Vader. The story is set 10 years after STAR WARS EPISODE I: THE PHANTOM MENACE, and there are appearances by some of PHANTOM's characters, including Jar Jar Binks. CLONES also brings back familiar faces from the original STAR WARS: the lovable droids R2D2 and C3PO, and Yoda, who plays a key role in this film. Lucas creates an impressive array of beautifully rendered alien planets and beings, sleek spaceships, and dazzling effects; he remains at the head of the class in terms of technical ability and visual imagination. The film's climactic final sequences show the magic with which CLONES' earns its place as part of the beloved STAR WARS series.Read full review...

A Lesser Son of a Greater Father

My opinion of ''Attack of the Clones'' is mixed, at best. I have general admiration for some of the action sequences and special effects. The more traditional dramatic elements, such as character development and dialogue, especially with respect to the relationship between Padmé and Anakin are nothing short of laughable at points. As is typical of the films of George Lucas, the dialog is stiff and flat. The acting (particularly by Christensen and Portman) leaves much to be desired.

One of the best things that can be said about the film is that Jar Jar Binks plays only a minor role. His awful attempts at comic relief seen in ''The Phantom Menace'' were toned down; instead, C-3PO reprised some of his bumbling traditions in that role. It is sad to think that is a chief selling point for this film.

Taken as a whole, the film is barely worthy of the Star Wars legacy.

Episode II

This movie is great. That statement stands on its own, but is far too simple to describe how good this movie is and how it truly lives up to the Star Wars standard of movie. Episode I was an alright movie but was a big let down for many fans. The build up was impossible to live up to, but when it was released, Episode I just took away from most fans Star Wars experience. Episode II came back with a punch. In fact, it was a combo that just kept hitting hard.
Anyone can appreciate an action film like this, as it was non-stop in this one. A Star Wars fan can appreciate this because it really shows us more of the Star Wars universe we know. Its good to see teh overall story develop and proceed. Episode I faltered in this a little, but both seemed to be clearer when Episode III came out. Episode II was an all out action film that made the Star Wars experience fun again.

Star Wars Attack of the Clones

Clones was much improved from the phantom menace. It seemed to be a much better thought out film from beginning to end. I think it was a much more worthy movie to be labeled Star Wars. The plot was the overall improvement. There actually was one. Hayden's sullen style added a lot to the Ani character and Dooku was excellent. All in all, a very worth while film. By all means, pick it up. Thanks for reading. signed:CLWRead full review...

Can be a little slow

Another great Star Wars movie. This movie is more of a story-builder for the 6-movie storyline. I love the action scenes and the movie does answer some questions for us about the characters we see in later movies. I give it a 4/5 rating because the 'relationship' scenes between Anakin and Padme seem to drag on. I know it is part of the overall story, so I just FF through those parts now. Definately one to have in your library.Read full review...
