Great game with a female protagonst

If you need a powerful woman in a compelling game, look no further than to one of THQ's best.

The story goes is that THQ made a female character who was supposed to be more indepandent, wear more modest clothing, and speak eloquently. She is a Queen after all.

The game came out on the Playstation 2. A remake was made for the Gamecube. As such, they threw out the original concept.

In this one, Maia is cleavaged, wearing little armor and bright modern make-up. My humble guess is in-graphical remakes in games that didn't sell well about women, this was a last gasp to get any sales out of the game using the Gamecubes amazing video hardware, context withstanding.

Graphically, this game is eons ahead of Playstation 2. Although I prefer Maia's design on the PS2 over the GC, I would rather play the GC version. The gamecube's controller's awkwardness helped counter-balance the games inherent flaw of awful controls.

The replay value is a solid medium, with reasons to go back to the game over and over to get everything you missed the first time through. There is a crafting system, you can put more attention into other characters, and complete side-quests.

This game is an ice cream sundae without the cherry. It's got substance but it's missing that ooooone thing I just can't put my finger on!

I recommend it to anyone who would like to learn about the story of this strong Queen and her friends.Read full review...

this sequil does zero justice for the first summoner.i loved summoner 1.so if you did not i would expect you will not like this either.
