An Old Star Rediscovered.

I just discovered Mildred Bailey singing "The Lamp is Low". I fell in love with her voice and style. I ordered this particular CD to get to know her better. This CD shows her early years and the quivery singing style which was in vogue in the 30's. I do enjoy her later, smoother style better. I intend to buy more of her CD's. She was special, and I enjoy her more than Billie Holiday or other blues singers of the day.Read full review...
