Simple & Clean, But Requires Accurate Power Supply

My first looper. Because this does not use battery and does not ship with power supply, I got a 9v 300mA power supply for it. Looper did not work, lost all volume. Contacted seller, and they happily replaced and paid for shipping replacement. Replacement behaved like the first one. I took to a guitar shop and tried with their power supply, worked as advertised. Turns out the power supply I bought first was putting out more than 9v despite the 9v rating. The Ditto Looper manufacturer had indicated that it was likely a power supply problem, and they were correct. Thankfully, no damage to the looper. Once I had the proper power supply the looper worked great. Now I can play backup track, then add more with guitar, fiddle, etc.

Great little gadget for hours of fun and possible performance use!

Probably not what your looking for

I currently own a few TC pedals and have been happy with the effects they produce. When I saw the TC Ditto Looper I was expecting the same quality effect. The Pros: it is easy to use, built well, has good sound during play back, has a small footprint on your pedalboard, and is priced for most budgets. The big negative was during playback your guitar/instrument volume cannot mix, blend, or compete on the same volume level. I believe this may have more to do with the amp and/or guitar splitting the signal into the amp. The end result is during playback your guitar volume is extremely low or drops out and tends to cut into the volume of the Ditto's output. The Ditto has a record output volume control that should be able to compensate for the live guitars volume during playback, but it doesn't. I think the best example would be if you were to invite another guitarist over to jam thinking you could just use a Y-spliter to allow two guitars to be plugged in and played through the same amp at the same time. If you tried this you would know that the guitars compete for the signal and the volumes can never be adjusted to blend together. The only way you could have a true play along scenario with the TC Ditto is to have a A/B box and 2 amps to allow amp "A" strictly for playback and amp "B" for your guitar. An A/B box and two amps or mixer with multiple channels is your only hope for jamming along with your TC Ditto. In conclusion, If you are just looking to record a few melodies or lead riffs and want to hear a quick playback then the TC Looper will fit the bill. However, if you thought you were buying a Looper that you could record a rhythm on your guitar then play a lead riff during playback, your not going to be happy with the TC Looper. Good luck and keep jammingRead full review...

GREAT SOUND IN A NICE SMALL PACKAGE.

This little guy works well and sounds pretty good, almost live at 24 bit 98 hz! The double press, with my left foot, with the unit being at the end of my chain, is a little awkward for me to turn it off......... I would not make a good drummer. I sold off my big old heavy Boss looper with a lot of functions I did not need. Ironically, with this simple one, you can bring back the last track after erasing it, for some complex looping arrangements, my old one could not do that. Having no drum beat is a real plus for me also, since I would forget to turn it off at times and it would mess up the drummer and the song playing live.

I would have given it a five star if you did not have to double tap it.

Fun guitar toy

Easy to use . One button and a volume control . Step on the button once to start recording and again to start playing along . Tap twice and hold to erase or you can store the track if you want although I never have done that with it . Allows you to practice jamming or work out song ideas . It does require a 9 volt power supply which does not come with it .Read full review...

Amazing Little Pedal

I received it quickly and it was fairly easy to figure out. I have used it already. It works great when you don't have a rhythm player for a three piece band, just kick in the loop and play your solo. Double clicking to end the loop takes some getting used to. But this thing does amazing things for its size.Read full review...

Simple to use.

This unit is easy to use right out of the box. Wish it came with a battery option as it would be much more portable. A great tool for practicing with your own accompaniment. Only regret is that the loops are not stored, so once power is disconnected the loops are lost. Still a good value to the solo musician.Read full review...

More Info needed!

This product works as described but SOMEONE should convey the important message that the power supply is not included with this unit!! Everyone doesn't has immediate access to a 9V power supply! At least a note in the shipment would help.Read full review...

Get The Correct Power Supply

First, I love the pedal. I was upset when I used it initially because it didn't work properly when I used another power supply. It would power up and record but wouldn't allow me to play over the playback. Taking someone's advice, I ordered a power supply specifically for this pedal and everything worked perfectly.Read full review...

simple and effective

A great little device, sure to improve your playing and time! Right out of the box you will love the size and simplicity. Very easy to use and sounds just as you played thru it(good and bad!). The only thing I would change is make a bigger brighter rubberized button to step on.Read full review...

Easy to use, Sounds great, Lots of fun!

I went out looking to buy my first loop pedal, and after reading reviews online, trying out a few I was instantly drawn toward the Ditto. It's super easy to use. Having never used a loop pedal before I caught on to it's functionality instantly. It's way too easy to get sucked into playing with this thing for hours on end, but totally worth it. I've been using it on my keyboards even though it's made for guitars. I can't wait to use it in a live show setting.Read full review...
