The Ultimate Challenge

Tails' Sky Patrol is a very difficult game that was released exclusively for the Sega Game Gear in Japan. Believe it or not, it was released before Tails' Adventure. People that own this game tend to complain a lot because of its difficulty. I'm sure kids will throw a tantrum quick if they happen to experience such a difficult game as this. My expectations of Tails' Sky Patrol were very high before I knew what it was like. Tails is constantly flying towards the right. You can't move back and you have to time your movements precisely or you will get caught up in traps, etc. He also carries a ring which can be used to attach himself to the pull-things and he can use it to smash certain barriers in his way. This can be frustrating because you will die if it's not done right. Tails collects candy to replenish his flight meter. I managed to get this cartridge only on here last year for a reasonable price, but it can cost you some serious cash due to its high demand. It's also an unlockable game on the Sonic Collection games for Xbox and PS2. There are some clips on youtube to see exactly what's in store for you if you decide to purchase it. I saw a video on there with a guy who actually beat the game from start to finish; however, it wasn't easy for him and the ending was horrible to make matters worse. Tails' Sky Patrol is more of a collector's item for me. You will enjoy Tails' Adventure a whole lot better, but if you're a serious video game collector you may want to add it to your collection.Read full review...
