In my opinion as a general photo enthusiast this lens is rather useful for special applications : real estate sales, landscape and architectural photos. Limited use for general photography. Also I find it is very tricky to use in backlit situations but pictures after post processing come out acceptable. Sharpness is marginal, construction excellent.
