I have not used this particular tool as of yet. I did leather work maybe 40 years ago and this was the tool I used for thinning leather, bought it at a Tandy Leather store at the time. Every now and then lately I am doing something in leather and have searched high and low for this tool, yet to be found. So, I am considering making a cell phone case out of remnant leather (from 40 years ago) and thought since I cant find my old tool I'd buy another one. For the price it can't be beat and the tool WORKS. So if you are in the need of a beveler/sciver and don't want to spend a lot of hard earned bucks, buy this one. You shouldn't be disappointed. The only thing that makes me uneasy of this tool is replacing the blade, just be careful.Read full review...

does a good job with a sharp blade,otherwise it does work at all, so use a sharp blade and no problems
