Targus Universal 3.0 DV2K Docking Station w/ Power ACP77USZ

Works for every laptop I tried.

It worked right out of the box for a new Lenovo ThinkPad with usb 3.0 and Windows 8.1. For an older Dell Latitude without a USB 3.0 port running Windows 7, I first had to install the DisplayLink drivers. But once the drives were installed even an older laptop was working great. Both worked with dual 22" monitors without any noticeable difference in resolution, clarity, and performance versus the ThinkPad or Latitude docking stations from Lenovo and Dell. The Targus dock even came with the newer rectangle power adapter for Lenovo laptops. I thought I would have to use an adapter but all the power tips are included. Not needing an extra power supply for a laptop and only 2 cables to connect the dock makes this setup look as clean as any docking station. Great, Versatile Dock

This one works fine with my Dell laptops. It has a switch with a blue pilot light that makes it easy to keep track of to turn on and off when you need to.

It is small compact and gets the job done, makes my laptop a desk top and only 2 cords to unplug to go mobile with my laptop.

fail safe docking station

After having terrible results with the new USB 3.1 standard docks, I've gone back to this excellent dock. Extremely well designed, lots of USB connections, flexible monitor connections through choice of display-port/DVI, and of course great Targus after-sale support with tips to cover you through future laptop replacements.
