A Veritable Treasure

Australian Heritage Cookbook could just as easily be listed in the art/photography genre as in cooking. The beautiful, full-color, full-page photos of the Australian countryside and of the delicious food make this volume extra special. Then to top it off the recipes are delicious and easy to follow. Most recipes will be recognizable to Americans but a few are just that little bit tantalizingly different: Passionfruit and Banana Butter; Mandarin and Apple Flan; Damper; Chocolate Afghans. You'll also find some fine international recipes such as: Baklava; Kurabriethes; Dutch Cherry Cheese Cake.
At the moment Australian Heritage Cookbook is not in my kitchen, it's on the Living Room coffee table where everyone can take a quick look at it whenever they have a free moment.

Excellent photography!

We did expect a few more ethnic recipes and were actually looking for an old cookie recipe however; the photographs of food and places in Australia are absolutely beautiful.
We'll treasure the book always.
