The Awakening, Modern Novel Originally Released in 1884

Written originally by Kate Chopin this story follows a young woman named Edna who desires to break out of the conformity that her marriage and children have brought to her. She desires to be truly free. Free to live her life, free to make her own decisions, free to love deeply. The ups and downs of her emotions are things that I believe most women feel when temptation sets in. You cannot help but empathize and sympathize with her. The story line shows her many ups and downs, her emotional growth, and her final rush to freedom. I loved it.Read full review...
