Wonderful book about clipper ships
This is an outstanding book about clipper ships of the 1800's. It is the 'little brother' to the more expansive and expensive 3-volume set "Sail, The Romance of the Clipper Ships". Like the 3-volume set, for each ship there is a 3-4 page history by Basil Lubbock combined with a color plate of Jack Spurling's painting of the ship. It is not a 'condensed book' as the text is not condensed. It is 36 of the better known clipper ships out of the much larger collection in the 3-volume set. Large format book, appears to be letterpress printed.Read full review...
